Beautiful birthstone ring

I love Melanie Casey’s work so when I saw she had a ring in my birthstone opal I was so excited. While it is dainty, it sparkles beautifully in the light and I’ve gotten many compliments on it. I love that the diamonds are in the shape of a moon that wrap around the opal.

Pretty albeit dainty

There's a lot of good things to be said about this ring. The simple clean design immediately caught my eyes, and the elegance of the white opal surrounded by a crescent of diamonds reminds me of Diana (both the princess and the Roman goddess). I love how it catches light; it's definitely a joy to look at. However, it's on the small size even on my size 4 finger (see uploaded photos). Which means it's not meant to impress. The wearer is probably going to be the only one to know how pretty it is. The stones would need to at least double in size before anyone else will ooh and ahh over the ring. Not necessarily a bad thing, as I think of it as my own little secret to privately enjoy.
