We are currently hiring for one part time paid position (Customer Experience & Operations Muse) and two winter/spring internship positions: Marketing & PR Intern and a Content & Editorial Intern. Customer Service & Operations Muse

This is an entry level position with a fast growing Chicago based fashion e-commerce business. We are currently seeking a multi-talented Customer Experience & Operations Muse. This is a part time (15-30 hours per week) hourly position with tremendous opportunity for growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO

  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer support via email, phone & live chat
  • Troubleshoot and address all customer facing issues
  • Manage shipping and returns
  • Maintain organized inventory management

    Marketing & PR Intern
    What will you do?
    • Update our social media channels weekly using Hootsuite
    • Manage Pinterest boards
    • Identify creative muses to partner with for collaborations and various marketing initiatives
    • Seek out new partners to feature on our weekly 5 O’CLOCK FRIDAY feature
    • Maintain contact lists for potential, current, and future partners
    • Conceptualize & explore additional grass roots marketing opportunities for Local Eclectic
    Who are you?
    • You should have a solid understanding of all current social media platforms
    • You must be currently enrolled in school and working towards a degree
    • You should have a genuine interest in fashion, culture and art and be plugged into
    • current events and the industry
    • Adaptable and assertive
    • You should be able to take direction easily and work independently
    • Eager to learn and self motivated
    • You have a strong attention to detail
    • You should have the ability to meet and exceed deadlines
    • You are a creative and out of the box thinker
    This is a 4 month unpaid internship. Approximately 10-15 hours per week.

    1. Create a pintrest mood board with 10-20 images that will give us a sense of your aesthetic and why you are a good candidate to work for Local Eclectic. Send us a link to your mood board.
    2. Take a 10 second snapchat introducing yourself. Save the snap and send it to us in an email. 
    3. Identify 3 Instagram or YouTube personalities that you would recommend Local Eclectic to partner with. Include each of their names, a sentence on why you think they would be a good fit and a link to their pages.
    Content & Editorial Intern
    Who are we?
    Local Eclectic is an online shop that promotes and sells products from emerging, on the rise designers from across the country. The e-commerce shop was founded in November 2013 and is based out of the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. Nothing on Local Eclectic is mass-produced and the majority of pieces you’ll find on our site are made by hand. We also create limited edition collaborations between creative influencers and emerging designers. These pieces are exclusive to Local Eclectic and made in small batch, limited runs. Our customers are 24-35 year old females who are fashion forward and are looking for pieces that are unique and stand out as much as they do!
    What will you do?
    • Add new products and images to Local Eclectic
    • Write product descriptions
    • Work with designers to collect product images and editorial content
    • Learn to work the back end of an e-commerce site
    • Learn to take product photography and upload photos to our website
    • Concept blog posts and potential guest blog posts
    • Help to build and write content for emails 
    • Learn how to maintain an editorial calendar through Basecamp

    Who are you?
