How to Clean Your Diamond Ring at Home

We don't always treat diamonds like the precious gems that they are! Between busy schedules and daily wear, it's easy to overlook the maintenance diamond rings require. However, as diamond rings are primarily categorized as fine jewelry, proper care and cleanliness is a necessity to ensuring they last a lifetime.

If you're wearing your diamond ring 24/7 (and we do literally mean 24/7), then cleaning your ring every couple of weeks will proactively work to fight the wear caused from exposure to water and the chemicals found in household cleaning products.

When cleaning your diamond ring, we recommend avoiding harsh chemicals such as acetone, bleach, and chlorine, opting instead for soap and warm water. Soaking your diamond ring in a solution of dish soap and warm water for about 15 minutes actively loosens any dirt or grime that's settled into the nooks and crannies of the piece.

After the 15 minute soak, take a soft bristled toothbrush and gently scrub around all of the stones in a circular motion, and then rinse well. This will target any hard-to-reach spots that may have built up debris. Just a few minutes of scrubbing is all it will take to ensure your ring is sparkling like new again!
