Meet the Muse: Jessica Alizzi

When Jessica Alizzi launched her own personal style blog, Jessica & Love, in 2014, it was with no intention other than to create a space to express herself freely.

Over time, the organic growth she experienced became too difficult to ignore, propelling her to truly adopt the title of founder and editor with confidence.

Inspired by the ease and grace of her surroundings, the Melbourne native has mastered effortless dressing, combining classic silhouettes with pops of color and vintage statement pieces.

We spoke to the blogger about everything from her signature style to the icons that inspired it. Read on for the full interview.

on her role models

My dad -- he has the strongest work ethic out of anyone I know and has definitely been the driving factor behind my desire to stay motivated and strive for success in everything I do.

on her signature style

I would say my personal style is somewhat vintage-inspired, very mood dependent, and constantly evolving. However, there is always a strong element of timeless, classic pieces, and designs which dictate the direction of most of my outfits. Items like oversized white linen shirts and structured blazers will forever be permanent fixtures in my wardrobe and daily outfits.

on her style icons

I have so many -- but some of my favorites are Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, and Caroline de Maigret. I am also always inspired by characters in movies such as Julia Roberts in Notting Hill or Eva Green in The Dreamers.

on cultivating your own style

Seek inspiration from unexpected places, people, and things and play around with heaps of different styles until you find what makes you feel the most confident and natural in your own skin.

on her go-to piece of jewelry

This beautiful gold diamond encrusted heart-shaped necklace from Tiffany and Co. my parents bought me for my 21st birthday.
