The LE Team's Small Business Gift Guide

This holiday season we’re all about shopping small to express our gratitude and support for the small businesses we can’t live without!  We asked the LE team which items they’re most excited to gift this year from their favorite small businesses.

Yin Yang Candle
from @nataconceptstore

We are spending a lot more time at home these days and nothing will make your bestie feel more zen than the slow burn of this yin yang candle. Strike a match and daydream about long lost but not forgotten human interaction. - Alexis, Founder & CEO

Artwork
from Idda Studio @iddastudio

I bought a ceramic piece from her over the summer but I'm really loving her silk scarves. I think they would be so stunning hung on a wall: this one in particular is on my wish list.  They are all handmade to order and have me dreaming of spending a seaside summer in Italy. - Alexis, Founder & CEO

The Always Pan

from @ourplace

This pan went viral on IG and their content sold me on it as a gift for anyone who loves to cook!  It does the work of 8 traditional pieces of cookware, plus it's so chic that it doubles as kitchen decor. - Sam, E-Commerce Product Manager & Copywriter

Jackets
from @shoponethird

One third is a small business focused on jackets founded by two women in Chicago.  I own Jacket 2 and literally live in it during in-between seasons.  They also just launched a super cute and cozy teddy. - Molly, Controller

Vietnamese Coffee Pour Over Kits
from @coppercowcoffee

The Copper Cow is a small woman owned business and I love to gift their Vietnames Coffee Pour Over kits! An excellent treat and they have a subscription service! - Steffi, Senior Manager of Operations & Analytics

Luxe Body Oil
from @klur.co

2020 is the year of self care, so I'm gifting the luxe body oil Elements of Comfort from Klur.  I love body oils, and this one is my favorite right now.  The amber bottle is pretty enough to keep out on a vanity and it absorbs beautifully - plus the smell is incredible!  I can't wait to try other products from this black female owned business! - Sarah, Art Director & Branding Lead

Mason Jar Candles

from @edgewatercandles

Edgewater Candles!  You can't go wrong with candles, and this local Chicago business has a plethora of amazing scents. My current favorites are Fraser Fir and Orchid Neroli.  Almost everyone on my list is getting a candle. - Tola, Client Experience Manager

Organic Soap Bundles
from @wildherbsoapco

I've started adding little soap bundles to everyone's gifts this year since we're all washing our hands so much! They smell amazing and they're really adorable stocking stuffers! - Katharine, Staff Photographer & Videographer

Custom Phone Case
from @memor_studio

A custom phone case from Memor studio is a truly unique gift and an affordable piece of functional art. You send the artist a phone case and she customizes it with pieces of jewelry, shell, glass, and other found material. Each case is made to order and one of a kind. - Madeline, Brand & Growth Marketing Manager

Hand Poured Candles
from @byellowtail

I'm also buying multiple candles (my go-to gift for friends) from B.Yellowtail, which is a Native American owned and operated brand.  & I just might gift myself this handmade knit beanie. - Madeline, Brand & Growth Marketing Manager

And lastly, our favorite and most foolproof way of supporting local businesses is to buy gift cards for restaurants, coffee shops, salons, and other small businesses we can’t bear to part with after the wild ride that has been 2020 (also perfect for any gifting time crunch you might find yourself in).

Don’t know about you, but this put us in the mood to add to cart. Happy holidays from the LE team!  xo
