On that note, I wanted to take a minute to explain why we (almost) never put anything on sale. We have a complicated relationship with sales, so I wanted to explain why most companies do them (maybe it’s obvious) and why we don’t!
Most retail businesses have to liquidate seasonal or unsold inventory. Maybe their markups are ludicrous (8-10x) so they can afford the markdown, or maybe customers just didn’t like their products so they have to give them way. These aren’t problems we have to deal with.
Our products are made by incredibly talented independent jewelry designers who make their products in small(ish) batches. Compared to big box retailers, we order relatively small quantities and sell through our inventory quickly. (You have probably noticed this...)
Our mission is to promote and empower creatives to make beautiful things. We support designers by working with them as partners and part of that is to uphold the integrity of their work by selling it at full value. Because it’s worth it!
Today we’re offering a special Customer Appreciation Sale as a way of saying thank you and to celebrate our fifth trip around the sun.
Maybe we’ll do something bigger and better in the years to come, but for now we’re offering a Five Day Sales Extravaganza starting with our biggest discount EVER -- 30% off select items.
