Amazing collaborations are the heart of what makes Local Eclectic unique. It infuses everything we do with meaning, offers empowerment, and helps us connect with a community of artists from around the world.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Morgan Harper Nichols
Morgan Harper Nichols is a writer and artist from Orange County, California. Her work is inspired by real people and their stories. She is the author of “Storyteller” and the creator of the daily subscription app of the same name.

We collaborated with Morgan in May 2019 for the creation of a poetry-based art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Amber Vittoria
Amber Vittoria is an artist working in New York City. Her pieces focus on femininity and the female form, leveraging physical traits such as body hair, overtly extended limbs and rounded features. Her piece for Local Eclectic was inspired by the strength, nurturing, love and honesty with which her mother raised her. It celebrates the powerful force within all women that is nurtured through themselves and the women that came before them.

We collaborated with Amber in May 2019 for the creation of an art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Augusto B.M.
Augusto B.M. is an artist born in the Northeast of Brazil, in Natal, a sunny and sea-scented city. Influenced by the minimalist concept, building its forms with lines, his art seeks to promote a link between man and his primitive ancestry, as well as the terrestrial nature that assists the piece that he created for Local Eclectic. Love is the basis of motherhood, independent of biology. Maternal love is something universal and when a mother embraces her child it is the biggest expression that comes from the heart.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Maggie Stephenson
Maggie Stephenson is an artist and illustrator born in Poland and raised in Germany, though she is currently residing in Florida, USA. Maggie’s work is heavily influenced by her european upbringing and travels, focusing on the joy of a simple life. The piece she created for Local Eclectic is inspired by the pure beauty of motherhood's intimate moments. Celebrating the strength and magic mothers all around the world infuse in their children.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Tess Guinery
Tess Guinery graduated from The Karl Von Busse Institute of Design, Australia, with an awakened passion to design and create. Very soon her creative eye and voice was echoed locally and beyond, inspiring others to find beauty in the routine of everyday life. Her recent self published book—The Apricot Memoirs is a fusion of musings, colour, and soul; birthed within a season of slow, surrender, overseas travels and rainbows. Tess currently resides in a rainbow love-shack by the sea with her stuntman husband and three spirited daughters, Peaches Wilde, Hopps Golden and Junee Moon.

We collaborated with Tess in May 2019 for the creation of a poetry-based art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Vanja Vikulic
Vanja Vukelic is a spiritual artist and creator that grew up in a small town in the Balkan Peninsula surrounded by mountains. From a young age she cultivated a connection between the physical world and the inner world of dreams. She works predominantly in ink, graphite, watercolor, and acrylic earth pigments to create work that inspires viewers to reflect and heal. Mystical themes and anthropomorphism play a central role in her art to show how interconnected humans are.

We collaborated with Vanja in May 2019 for the creation of an art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Elizabeth Olwen
Elizabeth Olwen is a Canadian print and pattern designer living in Lisbon, Portugal. Inspired by the world around her, Elizabeth’s work is driven by the desire to leave something beautiful behind with every step she takes. You can find her work around the globe, on products from decor to paper to fabric to bedding for clients like Cloud9 Fabrics, Crate + Kids, Tokyu Hands Japan, Mixbook and many more.

We collaborated with Elizabeth in December 2019 for the creation of an art print to go in our exclusive Glow subscription box.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Li Ya Wen
Li Ya Wen is a Taipei-born artist, illustrator, and sometimes model. She grew up in Taiwan where the blend of cultures from east to the west has greatly influenced her. She is fascinated by the intimate relationships between people she has met. Her work brings the viewer closer to dream worlds, and she unleashes her imagination in projects where she talks about identity and gender in society’s fringes.

We collaborated with Li Ya in December 2019 for the creation of an art print to go in our exclusive Glow subscription box.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Mia Charro
Mia Charro is a Spanish illustrator and a lover of nature, fine art, fairy tales and magic. When she’s not making art, you can find her writing, walking through the woods or practicing yoga. Her stories and illustrations are usually whimsical and quite often exhibit her love for magic, the unusual, wild things and ancient wisdom.

We collaborated with Mia in December 2019 for the creation of an art print to go in our exclusive Glow subscription box.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Sacree Frangine
Paris-based Célia Amroune and Aline Kpade, are the creative duo behind Sacrée Frangine. They explore shapes and color palettes to create simplified narratives and compositions. Their work expresses the beauty of everyday things through a minimalist and pleasing aesthetic.

We collaborated with Sacree Frangine in December 2019 for the creation of an art print to go in our exclusive Glow subscription box.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Mafalda Vasconcelos
Mafalda Vasconcelos is a South African born, Mozambican artist. She uses art as a way of exploring different influences in her culture and mixed ethnicity. Mafalda's art is a celebration of diversity and it is about the strength and beauty of all women, especially the women who raised her in Mozambique.

We collaborated with Mafalda in April 2020 for the creation of an art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Shira Barzilay
Shira Barzilay, better known for her brand name Koketit, is a Tel-Aviv based artist, creator, and designer. Her signature style and innovative vision have captured the imagination of global brands and numerous publications. Her style is the subject of much emulation in the fashion and beauty niche on Instagram, inspiring others to create.

We collaborated with Shira in April 2020 for the creation of an art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Malwina Piekos
Malwina is an illustrator born in Gdansk, Poland. She creates strong female figures, which accompanied by floral patterns, seem to become one with nature. By observing the world she transforms images and ideas into a kind of illustration poetry.

We collaborated with Malwina in April 2020 for the creation of an art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

MEET THE ARTIST:
Octavia Tomyn
Octavia is a Melbourne based line artist who previously worked as a designer in the fashion industry for over 12 years. She has worked for some of Australia’s biggest retailers as well as high end international designers. She has now returned to the creative expression and art form she has practiced since her school years and which eventually led her to explore a career in design.

We collaborated with Octavia in April 2020 for the creation of an art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.

Martcellia Liunic
Martcellia Liunic is an art director and visual artist living and working in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is known for her colorful, whimsical animals and her doodle-like body of work. She’s the creator of Liunic on Things, a studio that focuses on wearable art items for the connoisseur of cute.

We collaborated with Martcellia in April 2020 for the creation of an art postcard to honor women and mothers, as an ode to the powerful female force that inspires us.
