Product Materials & Description

The bestselling Peruvian Opal Beaded Necklace is now available in a cool toned, pastel color palette in very limited quantities! Once this limited edition piece sells out, it's gone for good.

About Peruvian Candy Opal: This stone is first mined in Peru, then sent to India by ship where it is cut and polished into beads. Unlike Ethiopian opal, this opal is very hard and opaque white. It has become very popular to dye it fun colors to resemble the candy necklaces of 1980s and 1990s nostalgia.

  • Dyed opal beads, approx 8mm
  • 18k yellow gold plated
  • Brass base
  • Length 16" + 3" extender
  • Opal beads are all unique and no two necklaces are identical

These beads are hand dyed and have variation in their color which contributes to the artisanal nature. In some rare instances crocking might occur where the dye might rub off slightly (usually caused by moisture from water or sweat).  If this happens, we recommend wiping your necklace with a damp cloth to remove excess dye then drying completely.
